This so far has been a near perfect answer I'm trying to find something like this perhaps to even RDP into a server of ours to get to the logmein desktop client if I had to again this is to be used only in certain situations, and everyone responding so far thinks its going to be a total replacement I appreciate you digging for me Peter. I know it is a strange name but Fatdog64 has some Remote desktop abilities built in and as mentioned runs from a USB stick.

You understand that my initial question was to connect from a Linux machine to a Windows machine while away from my home office and your response was to change our whole system over to connect wise. It would be much less worth it for us to commit to a new service since it's already installed on all workstations already.Īs a side note/rant I understand Connect Wise must be amazing, this is really been bothering me when coming into these forums with the advertisements for it as well as the employees who work with Connect Wise trying to push their software, when this doesn't even apply to what I'm asking.
Sorry but we use it for all our clients as a MSP. I can do support sessions, meetings, or gain access to users/end points from the easy to use web console. Heck - you can pay monthly via CC and if you don't like it after a few months, then cancel it.
